When I started this challenge 12 weeks ago, I thought it would be like every other program I hated. Man, I was so wrong. I have been an athlete since I was a teen and lifting is my muse, but the last few years I had put myself on the back burner. I was not prioritizing my health and MY life. I had gained well more than 65lbs in 3 years. I had no discipline to workout or to even keep myself accountable with my diet. I also forgot about my mental health and my personal hobbies and, frankly, love of life. I’m not saying that this program changed my ability to love life but it gave me every single tool to put in not only the physical work to be healthy but the mental work to change my mindset and ultimately change my life back to a place of positivity and happiness.

My main goal was seriously to begin transforming myself into the person I know I can be, and this helped me in more ways than I can count. It helped me begin by seeking help for my overweight body and my mind. Then I began to prioritize my nutrition. I also began to prioritize sleeping which was a huge deal for me. I started the program at 203lbs and have gotten down to 173lbs. I’ve gained more muscle and lost more fat than I expected and never once felt like I was starving myself. Can’t thank Eugene enough for all that he does and all the education he gives to those involved.

I’ve struggled with an eating disorder for over a decade, so to start a program that had me eating double the amount I did previously to this challenge was incredibly hard to mentally overcome. But after putting my foot down and pushing for strength gains, I implemented the changes.

Throughout this program I saw my weight shoot up, and to my surprise, I saw it drop back down while my lifts kept going up. While I am physically stronger after these 12 weeks, more importantly I am mentally stronger through conquering the demons that have held me back for so long now.

I don’t care about “winning” anything, but Eugene if you do see this. Fucking thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing me how to enjoy life again. 12 weeks ago, if friends asked me out for pizza I would’ve said no, or I would’ve gone and over done it on cardio and cut my calories the following day. Now I take my friends up on any opportunity I possibly can. You’ve given me a new lease on life, I cannot put Into words how grateful I am to see my body preform at its best it’s ever been, and my mind be so clear and not plagued with the insecurities that have followed me for what seems like forever now.
